1. Open File Explorer.
2. Connect the external hard drive to the calculator.
3. Click on This PC on the left side of the File Explorer.

Hi Karen,
Thank you for your response with the current status of the issue.
It is not a long process as nosotros are just copying and pasting the data from the external difficult drive to the reckoner. Though transfer rate will defer depending on the file size and content. Video files will be transfer at much faster rate than transferring a data files.
Note: If you desire to cut the whole content from the external hard drive and so to paste information technology in the computer. Please press Ctrl Key + 10 Key after selecting the whole content from the hard drive and printing Ctrl Key + 5 Primal to paste it in the computer. When we cut and paste the data files. The transfer rate might exist faster than copying the files into the reckoner.

Sorry but I don't sympathize how to paste it to the computer. do I click on c commencement. when I beginning tried it I was copying onto the same external bulldoze.

Howdy,
Once y'all're done selecting and copying the files on your external hard drive by pressingCtrl Key + A Keyor selecting specific files and pressing Ctrl + C Cardinal or Correct-click mouse then select Copy, right click on your screen and select Paste. See picture below.

This was the way I expected to transfer my files from my external hard drive to my computer, but I concluded up with just shortcuts, non the bodily files. To transfer the files I had to select files in one binder at a time, then re-create and paste. With hundreds of folders and thousands of files this is a laborious procedure.

If yous want to transfer numerous files and folders:
1)To transfer folders/files that are correct next to ane another:
-Click on the very acme binder/file yous want to transfer and then it's highlighted in blue (do non open the file).
-Hold downwards the shift key and the very last file you want to transfer.
-All the files in between will now be in blue.
-While hovering over the blue, right click and choose copy or cut (I suggest use re-create first until you go the hang of it, y'all'll demand to delete files you've only copied and non cut if yous want to delete them). After right click copying or cut, you can bring it over to the file yous want to put information technology in.
2)To transfer folders/files that are not right next to each other
-Agree downwardly the control central and click on each file you want to transfer. You'll end upward with numerous files highlighted in blue. Concur the curser over i of the highlighted blue folder or filed and correct click. So choose cut or re-create.
